Chuck Glider Competition – 11th July before the meeting

This popular event will be held on Thursday 11th July on the field behind the village hall at Buriton.  Its easy, simply build or buy your own glider (depending on how competitive you’re feeling) bring it down to the field and have a laugh with the other members.  Be there by 19.45 (or earlier for trimming flights) and the comp with start at 20.00. It will consist of 6 flights and the longest accumulative time from these 6 flights wins. It’s just bit of fun so if yours doesn’t fly very well there’s no need to worry.
While you’re thinking about the competitions don’t forget the Fun Fly tasks that run all year. So far this year only the Spot Landing comp has been attempted, with Chas Butler and Colin Cowplain both scoring bullseyes! They are both ‘B’ cert holders so that comp will be down to whoever gets the highest number of bullseyes!. The comp for the ‘A’ cert holders is still wide open. There are several other ‘tasks’ as well, max spins, longest glide etc. Don’t be shy, have a go.
