The fun fly comp is officially underway!!! After a few amendments to rules and a bit of clarification I think we are there!!! So crack on and start getting involved and getting in the results of those loops, spins, glides etc………. Get your results back to Mr Evans as soon as possible and we can start posting them up on the competition page!!! Im sure Colin will get some good video footage for the patch news too. HAPPY FLYING!!!!!

Hi all, During today’s flying JP wanted to set up a launch bungee for his Vampire,on the patch, I commented to JP, that, in my opinion I felt this was unsafe on such a busy day, so he duly stopped, Nothing wrong so far, But I then proceeded to enthusiastically get pilots having a go at the spot landing challenge, resulting in me, going on to the patch,many times, to take measurements, very similar to JP setting up his launch system !!. At the end of the session it took another member to bring this fact to my attention, because,it was apparent that I was blissfully unaware of the fact ! I have always said the club doesn’t need a safety officer, as I believe, it is every members duty to take on that role, and they should never be afraid to make their thoughts known. so, with that in mind I have recommended to the comp sec that the spot landing challenge is not undertaken on busy days. I would also like to take this opportunity to apologise to JP for acting like a hypocrite, (it wasn’t intentional) and to anyone else who found my actions off putting. I would also like to thank Mark, for making me realise my mistake.
