About

Petersfield Aero Modellers was founded in 1972 by the late President Don Eades together with a few like minded flying enthusiasts. Over the years this small club has built a big reputation in the local area.

The objective of the Club is for its members to get the maximum enjoyment from aero modelling in a friendly atmosphere and with the minimum of bureaucracy and regulation. This is achieved whilst continuing to preserve a safe flying environment.  There are varying levels of flyers, and a multitude of aircraft being flown.

The Club benefits from a fantastic site on Wether Down, just outside Petersfield. The site has outstanding views over to the Isle of Wight and to the North of Hampshire. The main club flying session is on Sunday morning from 10 a.m. although there is unrestricted flying for members seven days a week.

If you are thinking of taking up a new hobby the club has two in-house examiners both of whom, along with two or three other nominated members, will help you learn the ins and outs of flying. Or if you are just returning after a long break, come along on a Sunday morning to have a look around and meet some of the members up at the patch.
